Joseph Badal has worked for 40 years in the banking and financial services industries, most recently serving as a senior executive and board member of a NYSE-listed mortgage REIT. He is currently President of Joseph Badal & Associates, Inc., a management consulting firm.
Prior to his finance career, Joe served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army in critical, highly classified positions in the U.S. and overseas, including tours of duty in Greece and Vietnam. He earned numerous military decorations.
He holds an undergraduate degree in International Finance (Temple University) and an MBA (University of New Mexico), and is multi-lingual. He graduated from the Defense Language Institute, West Coast, and from Stanford University Law School’s Director College.

Death Ship, the 5th in his Danforth Saga, and his 8th thriller, will be released on November 17, 2015.
Joe writes a monthly blog titled Everyday Heroes which can be accessed on this website.
His short stories Fire & Ice, Ultimate Betrayal and The Rock, were included in short story anthologies.
Joe has written dozens of articles that have been published in various business and trade journals, and is a frequent speaker at business and writers events.
All of Joe's books are available in both print and ebook formats.
Joe has attended a variety of writers conferences, including Left Coast Crime, Bouchercon, Tony Hillerman Conference, and ThrillerFest. He has been featured on Suspense Radio, and he has been interviewed on several radio and television shows, including Good Day New Mexico and The Morning Brew.
He was MortgageOrb.com's Person of the Week, was named One of 50 Authors You Should Be Reading in 2011, won 1st Prize with The Lone Wolf Agenda in the 2013 NM/AZ Book Awards in the Fiction-Mystery/Thriller category, won the Tony Hillerman Prize for Best Fiction Book with Ultimate Betrayal in 2014, was awarded the Silver Medal for Best Mystery/Thriller with Evil Deeds in the 2015 Military Writers Society of America competition, and is a finalist for Best Mystery/Thriller with Death Ship in the 2015 NM/AZ Book Awards competition.
